May The Circle Be Unbroken.

Here are some hints and tips on maintaining and getting the best out of the site.

The featured members are all hosts and you can find some non European ones by clicking links. Please invite your mailing list, any house concerts, songwriters, open mic clubs and fans, infact any one you think could add to this community, particularly that friend with the big old front room who loves live music. The best way to find a house concert is to ask your mailing list if anyone will do one for you, we can help get them started together, for the comon good, and you'll always have a home house concert that will have you back

Please add our badges to your web site, and http://www.houseconcert.eu to any communications you think might be helpful.

The idea is we all work together to grow the scene to the point where House Concerts really makes a difference, you can use the invite tab to invite your mailing list, who knows who amongst them would do a house concert for you, I'll help get them started. All I ask is that if you get a gig from this site you donate something from that gig to its upkeep.

This is how to keep this house concert hub rolling, we work together to establish more places to play which in turn benifits the musician, people donate money to hear your music you then donate a part of that so we can continue to develope more places to play and help all the hostes get more audiences.

Its a circle that relys on you for it to remain unbroken

Thanks to those who already have payed back to the hub, I'm trilled with the amount of good work that is happening all around this site and delighted to help in any way possible.

We are averaging 140 hits a day as of October after only 8 months of the site being operational, from all around the world and today 300 people used the site. The forums including this one are busy with topics and groups are increasingly active, feel free to contribute , we have "Face Book" "Myspace" and "Youtube" pages, infact even our own growing webzine "Flyin Shoes" see side bar links, please check out reviews and consider submitting your own reviews and articles, and let me know if you would like a review for a new release.

I look forward to working with you on this.

Hi all, my name's Niels Cremer, I'm a German Americana/Folk-Rock singer-songwriter from Munich and am always looking for house- and other concert opportunities in the area or beyond. I usually play alone w/acoustic guitar but can arrange double-bills or accompaniment on request. Listen in to my stuff on NoDepression or MySpace, thanks so much!

We, GhostSong, are looking for house concerts December 09 through to the start of the festival season 2010. Preferably in northern england but will consider further afield. From full six piece band to smaller three piece ensemble to cater for your requirements. Entertainment and fun guaranteed.

Hello fellow musicians, vagabonds and hosts. I am still booking my folk tour in Europe and the UK Mar-May 2010. I was wondering if you have any suggestions of good listening venues, pubs or house concert hosts in the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium or Holland. I am also interested in collaborating with or opening for local performers. If anyone is interested, please feel free to drop me a line :)

For those who arn't members here or missed a memo, Ive suggested a promotional cd and invited members of this group to contribute a song. The idea is for £100 donation each they get a song on the cd I print 1,000 I send that out to the media and send them 30 each and the rest to the hosts, the profit pays for the work . Ive estimated I can do all that for the same as one album usualy cost and artist to promote, if I can keep costs down. IE it will go in with CD's I'm sending out and be just a single evelope pack, so postage is free, but it will promote 12 artists and the site at the same time, I'll then use that to push for reviews and features on the site and house concerts in general, and if we get cracking we can get it out in time for the first birthday of the site in January + it will bring in some baddly needed income and pay me for some of the work its now taking to keep all the plates spinning on this site.

It still remains a labour of love, but its taking up so much time now it has to help me generate some funds.

Onwards

Ben Sands Comment by Ben Sands on October 10, 2009 at 1:17pm
My aim as a Singer, Songwriter, Musician and Storyteller is to bring my work to as wide an audience as possible.
In these days of downloads and “digitaIia”, the House Concert offers a unique opportunity for close-up, hands-on entertainment that brings a great deal of enjoyment to the Artist, the Audience and the Host!
I have plenty songs, stories and music - and I'll bring them anywhere, any time!
