Here are some of the artists we are helping "Look for Europe"
A full integrated conventional and digital media promotion service for the independently minded musician.
Why not invite your favourite independent musician to play for your friends family and his fans in your front room, I’ll be surprised if he/she won’t show up sometime this year and play for you, let me know about it and if The Medicine Show Radio Moose Mobile is loose is near enough we’ll come and broadcast it too. If you would like to help keep the wheels on the Hub and on The Moose become a patron at
Happy Hosting, Happy New Year
My hope for this is that artists, audiences and hosts will create a Europe-wide network. This could mean that if away from home, I could use this site to find a house concert to go to, and meet like minded people. Or an artist might be able to fill some dates to make a tour more feasible. And hosts will find all the help they need here to develop their own scene to its maximum.
The Medicine Show on The Road.
The Global Village Medicine Show is our www.themedicineshow.eu and community roots radio show. The idea is to support independent musicians with airplay, publicity and tour support.
To that end we've kept a listening room trail open in the Highlands for the songsters, for 20 years, and regularly take The Medicine Show On The Road. This has become particularly popular with American roots musicians. It has become a bit of a pilgrimage for artists wishing to trace the roots of their music, back to the homeland.
All of these musicians have played and supported House Concerts in the states for many years, and I became fascinated by the idea as a result. We now augment our listening room Highland Tours with two very fine House Concerts - Square Wheels House Concerts with Steve and Clancy MacDonald in , and The Head Light House Concert on the most northerly point of the UK mainland (beats John O Groats by a couple of miles).
The Light House is automated these days and the out-houses were bought by the late and legendary http://www.qpqproductions.com musician Johnny (Fats) Sutherland, who converted one of the houses to a full Pro-Tools studio. The concerts are maintained by his son Isaac and take place in the former generator room, with full , quadraphonic sound system and recording facilities available. The room comfortably seats 70 or more people
It's my hope that we can between us, organise a House Concert network that can cover the UK (does anyone know someone in Lands End with a big front room?). Also Ireland and mainland .
We take The Medicine Show On The Road, around the UK, Ireland and onto the continent, and have played other House Concerts along the trail.
