About Me
Have been writing songs for some time (on & off) and my darling best friend (extraordinarily talented artist, musician and singer, Karan Raitt) told me about this website tonight - she thinks I need to do something with my material! Could well be interested in hosting concerts in beautiful Andalucia - sun, beautiful views, rolling Spanish countryside, me, my parents, my cats, swimming pool and, oh, more sun...! We have letting accommodation available too.

Hola Duncan (so now you know how to greet people in Spanish too!),
Nice to hear from you again. Yes, Spain is a very beautiful country, especially the part where we live - well, of course it would be! Mind you, we had such a howling gale blowing yesterday and all through the night I was scared we would wake up with no roof, so I´d be lying if I said it was perfect all the time. We´re up in the mountains here so it gets a bit extreme during the winter months (unlike the coast where it really is so much warmer at this time of year but then you have to put up with all the golfing types who live in ex-pat only compounds, so it´s a good exchange really!). You really MUST visit but take loads of time to travel the whole country - something I must do too!
As to not being able to get any sound from my songs, well, you´re one of the lucky ones!!! It´s probably something I haven´t done as am not exactly a techie kinda gal and there are no five year old kids around to ask for help!
OK, well, it was great to hear from you. Take care and enjoy the festive season,
Amy

Hello Amy,
Thanks for taking the time to say hello. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am not able to hear any of your tunes. I will check back later, but for some reason the songs play but there is no sound.

Well, I have never been to Spain, but I think I should. It sounds lovely. It always sounds lovely from all of my friend's accounts of their visits. So I must go. Besides I know how to ask for a beer in Spanish. Whatelse does a boy need?
All my best, Duncan

How do? I thought I might just stop by and introduce myself. Please send me a friend request if you feel it a good idea to stay in touch. From both an artistic stand point as well as being like minded in our endeavors it would seem that we might. Best regards for the Holidays and Merry Christmas

Hey Amy,

Whew, I never thought EVER in my life I would be constantly this overwhelmed, but I am - to the point of becoming a horrible correspondent! Thanks for your note, and I hope to hook up with you again. We're currently looking at doing a trip through Spain that now has us in a few locations. So, if we get where you are, in July, it'll be nice to have a coffee or meal.

Take care until then.

Hi Amy, it's a real good choice you made. Music is an emotion in all his ways and it brings people together. Good luck and a lot of fun in having the house concerts at your place, which is beautiful I presume. Jan Bos

Flyin Shoes Review, Our webzine site (would you like to review or be reviewed?)

Drew Nelson heads up John Davys Noughty Hits.

Here's a best of the decade list; I'd like to have put both of Drew Nelson's albums in, partly because nobody seems to have picked up on him much and I reckon he's quite special. In no particular order. All of these I love everytime I hear them and some of them are definitely…

Patrick Vining Band -- Atlanta Boogie - Blues Boulevard (Media)

An Atlanta native, Patrick Vining has been playing music since he was a child but it was only when a friend played him a Muddy Waters record that he knew that he had to sing the blues. That love of the blues continues with his latest album, Atlanta Boogie, which opens with a Kansas City style blues, Everybody Knows. Vining has one of those lived-in voi…

Govt Mule -- By A Thread (Provogue)

To say that Govt Mule is a success would be a bit of an understatement. 2 million paid song downloads from their website, 7 critically acclaimed albums and sold out coast-to-coast US and European tours are testament to that. They open their 8th album with a bit of a Texas stomp and that’s no surprise when you hear that ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons has added his n…
