Hi Rob, first of all I have to tell you that I broke up my Mexico tour. There was a big lack of organisation and and terrible conditions like sleeping on a dirty floor with ten people in a room, broke toilettes and so on. So now I'm back in Germany.…

Haha am laughing about what Jessica said below. Hi again Jessica!

Good luck with your tour. I am moving to Germany at end of January, would be great to connect with fellow musicians there. I won't be far from Freiburg :)

I really like our music Andy. It has a good message and I really like the flute and banjo..and pretty much all the instruments! I have a song called "Safe Place to land" with a penny whistle in the recording. I'm an Americana/Folk artist from Montana booking my first European tour for the spring in support of my latest double soul/indie/folk album (as well as my older Americana/folk albums "Before Dawn" and "Big Dreams"). I'm hoping to book listening venues, festivals, theaters, house concerts and intimate concerts. I'd love to do a show with you, please let me know if you are interested in performing with me or if you know of any venues in your area that might be interested in my music (it is very similair to your style). Thank you very much! Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Andy

The Simpson banjos are amazing looking instruments aren't they? That inlay work on the resonator is something else :-)

Let me know when you are coming this way again. I am webmistress of an internet folk mag called The Folk Rag at www.folkrag.org. We do house concerts.

Cheers

Hi Andy,
Thank you so much for the request! Man, I'm honored to even be considered by somebody with your gifts and talent. Did you play all the instruments on "She Doesn't Know"? AWESOME SONG!
Thank you again, and God bless you.
Jerry

Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett (The Little Feat Guitar Duo) In concert and conversation with The Medicine Shows Rob Ellen

Little Feat are a seminal rock band that came to prominence in the 70's by bringing all the strands and history of American music into one melting pot and serving a mighty meal of modern music that has effected the lives of music fans around the world ever since. These days the band still produce great albums and tour the…

JOE AND ROSE LEE MAPHIS 'COLD HEART OF STEEL' (media)

The career of Joe and Rose Lee Maphis was always overshadowed by Joe Maphis’ status as a stylish guitarist (known as "The King Of The Strings") and one of quite simply the innovator of country music. Joe Maphis and his customised twin neck Mosrite guitar were utilised behind such greats as Rose Maddox, Rick Nelson

Linda McRae: Carve it to the Heart (media)

Listening to Linda McRae for the first time is pretty much like discovering Gillian Welch for the first time: here is somebody so completely at home in the idiom of old-time American folk that it feels complete…

Sandra McBeth in conversation with Rob Ellen and in session with Bruce MacGregor.

A perfect example of new contemporary song writing in Scotland, Sandra MacBeth’s “Conjugal Scene” is one of the inspiring releases for 2009.

“I tried to approach this album as an upbeat, honest representation of life and love. Emotionally I put myself on the line and musically tried to push the bound

Malcolm Holcombe: For The Mission Baby (media)

Much praised by Bob Harris, Malcolm Holcombe is a man you can't, or shouldn't, ignore. Fortunately for us in Scotland there are two appearances at Celtic Connections and, glory be, an intimate little gig at the Strathpeffer Coffeee Shop to look forward to in J…
