Are you an artist host and/or concert goer?

Hi Folks on the House concert Hub.

I love playing house concerts!
I have done a few now, they are a great way to really make contact with people who love music.

I will be around touring February - March and September - October 2009
Please get in touch if you want to organise a gig...

Fairytales, folk stories, enchanted forests and fiery lakes – so far so promising, as Angie Palmer's latest perfectly crafted offering gets a Proper release in the January lull.
'Meanwhile' is further proof that what "the British Lucinda Williams" lacks in Americana credentials (she's from Preston), she makes up for with a dues-paying busking-in-Paris past. "The mind has monster great and small/Just waiting for the night to fall" she sings on "Slip Away From Me". Palmer's night should fall more often.
Pick of the album: The spooky and epic 'Weeping Wood'

“atmospheric country-folk-rock ....Worth turning the lights down low for”
The Sun ****

“strong on haunting lyrics and atmospherics”
Rock'n'Reel ****

"This is an exquisite collection...a definite one for my albums of the year"
John Tobler ***** Album Of The Month. Country Music People.

"Has a delicious hair-in-the-voice approach that gives her a tough edge over more fey contemporaries...Impressive"
Rob Hughes *** Uncut magazine

"Fine English Americana from a substantial storytelling talent...exudes a convincing fluency in style that's rare among home grown performers." HMV Choice July 2006
"Rare in this world of introspective songwriters Palmer has a truly narrative style at times recalling Dylan and consummately literate... utterly convincing." Acoustic Magazine

"A lyrically sharp album with gritty vocals and powerful music that makes you sit up and listen!" ****Maverick

"A gorgeous, thrusting chunk of guitar strewn Americana that sounds as though it has been torn from the Best of Dylan songbook." MoJo

"Striking fourth release from Preston based songstress... the music flows beautifully, at times recalling the soundscapes of Joni Mitchell's Hejira or Van Morrison's Veedon Fleece." Americana UK

"'Tales of Light & Darkness' is a superb album with quality at every turn... very highly recommended." Fish Records

"This is a magical album, and to resist is madness. Go buy and enrich your lives beyond measure."
HiFi Plus

"An album with quality stamped all over it." Blues Matters

Hey Angie, it's a pleasure to cross your path again and to see (and hear) you're going strong as ever with your music. I wish you all the best,

Hi Angie, thanks for the freind request. I've only just joined so I haven't really had time to peruse all the goodies yet. If you have any tips and you've got a mo I'd appreciate any help.
I found myself cringing the other day as the memory of the night I stole your line about the CD's suddenly flashed into my mind. Thanks again about making me aware of the importance of PR, another important piece of the jigsaw that I have been able to put to good use. Cheers, Dom x PS give my regards to Billy.

Hope you’re having a great day. Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you a little about Roosevelt Bandwagon:

Roosevelt Bandwagon's personnel currently reside in London, UK. The band comprises a fluid line-up of extremely experienced musicians who have been writing, recording and touring internationally in various guises for many years. The ethos is to play the music that comes most naturally to its members with absolutely no consideration whatsoever for the trends, fashions and formulae of the commercial music industry.

Having played house concerts many times in the States in years gone by we love the idea of the House Concert Hub – it is certainly more focused than other social networking sites and far more friendly!!!

We’re currently doing sessions for a full length album which should be ready by May of this year. In the mean time, we have put out the ‘Train Roll On’ EP. We have a limited edition of free pressings which we’re mailing out to those people who request it – hurry and drop us a line before we run out! Tracks can also be heard on our home page/ visit us on myspace: where you can download the tracks for free.

Do please drop us a line – we’d love to hear your thoughts on our music/ have you as a friend.

Best wishes & have a great weekend.

House Concert Tour UK/ EU

I'm currently in the studio recording my 4th album of the year. I have a large selection of songs that have remained unrecorded - one is now on a shortlist for use in a TV documentary - and decided I should put this right. The first three are A New Day, The Journey and Work In Progress and I am now looking to play a few acoustic house concerts to promote them, ideally in July/ August. Here's a link to the title track from the second album of this year Listen to The Journey by CJay #np on…See More
