About Me
Claire Ness is a singer/songwriter from the musically innovative town of Whitehorse, Yukon in the heart of a vast northern wilderness. A professional entertainer of many facets - actor, clown, cabaret and circus artist, producer, director - her influences range from Pearl Bailey to Fred Eaglesmith, with detours via Cole Porter and Edith Piaf.

"Claire’s songs are insightful and inventive, her voice, unforgettable, infiltrating stealthily, with its gentle, sensual elegance. Perhaps it’s a wisp of Yukon woodsmoke, colouring those husky, gin-laced tones, or simply the honest articulations of a person dyed-in-the-wool of the awe-striking beauty that is the Yukon." - Eric Epstein, Artistic Director of the Yukon Arts Centre and the Frostbite Music Festival

“So in-your-face genuine, hard not to be engaged watching her.” - Susanne Hingley, Music Yukon
