David Starr is an Americana singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist living in Cedaredge, Colorado. His music has roots in Arkansas blues, country rock and classic rock. With an emphasis on insightful songwriting and strong vocal performance, David’s influences range from the ‘70’s Southern California country rock to blues to pop.
David and The European House Concert Hub have been working together to bring him to the UK for his second visit (he opened for Tia McGraff last year). He has one or two dates open Click here to book!
With Arkansas roots and Colorado wings, David Starr has been making music since the age of 10. He is an Americana singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer with hundreds of live shows and five solo CD’s under his belt.
His latest CD, Love And Sabotage, is a 15-song collection that features original compositions, co-writer collaborations and two covers. The new release also showcases Starr’s many influences ranging from Southern California country rock to Delta blues to folk. The songs were recorded in several studios with the help of session veterans from Nashville, Denver and Aspen.
Starr has shared the stage with such artists as John Oates (Hall & Oates, pictured right with David), Richie Furay (Buffalo Springfield, Poco),
Kenny Edwards (Linda Ronstadt, Karla Bonoff), John McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) and numerous others. He has opened for Survivor, Clint Black, Travis Tritt, Restless Heart and The Guess Who. He also has an upcoming 2016 date as opening act for the Marshall Tucker Band.
To make Love And Sabotage even more special, Starr is joined on the disc by Oates, Furay and the legendary Steve Cropper (Booker T. and the MG’s, The Blues Brothers). Songwriter and harmonica wizard Dana Cooper also contributes both as player and co-writer.
The title cut has been on the UK Hotdisc Top 40 chart for several weeks as of this writing, with three weeks at #2! When he isn't spreading the gospel of music though his retail music store in Cedaredge, Colorado, Starr tours in Colorado, Arkansas, Tennessee, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Hawaii, California, Texas, West Virginia, Canada and the United Kingdom playing house concerts, festivals and live shows in a variety of venues.

“David Starr and guest, Ben Harris, recently performed a house concert at my place (aka "Cove" concerts in Northwest Arkansas). David's voice is mesmerizing and his range of songs took a most appreciative audience from tears to laughter -- a true gift of the ultimate songwriter. Between David and Ben, the musicianship was astounding!” Lori Holyfield, Cove House Concerts, USA

The plan is to stay and play across England and Scotland for about three weeks or so. If you or someone you know is interested in hosting a house concert or garden party, just send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.

After the wonderful May 2016 tour, I'm looking forward to booking more shows for my May 2017 tour. I've already got a show or three booked, but I'm looking for more. I especially like house concerts and listening rooms.
We are currently focused on the latter half of May, so keep me in mind!
