About Me
Elly Knight and Craig Dunlop (musicians themselves) own the Red Roof, an award winning cafe and gallery on the beautiful Isle of Skye, Scotland. We opened in 2011 and have had a hugely successful season, winning the first prize at the Moffat Awards for Travel and Tourism and being shortlisted for three categories at the Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards.

Our first two musical evening events in December booked out within two days and have had rave reviews, so we hope to make these a regular feature in 2012, some just as live gigs, some as part of an evening meal event. We are a small but totally unique and beautiful venue and can accommodate 21 people for an evening meal event, 24 for a cafe style arrangement, and 30+ for a gig.

If you are an interested artist please get in touch!

Posoh (hello), I hope to reach you both in good health and spirits!  I'm an international award winning musician from the Menominee Indian Nation in Wisconsin, USA.  I'm touring Europe in May with a stop in Scotland for a few dates (concerts and a school presentation).  I would love the opportunity to stop by for a gig or even just to meet if you have time available.  I'm available for school presentations on Menominee Indian culture, a house concert, or even a Native American Flute workshop -- all things I have been doing internationally for years.  I began my solo career opening for Jackson Brown & the Indigo Girls in the year 2000 during the Honor The Earth Tour.  Sending good thoughts,

Dear Elly and Craig:

I See Hawks In L.A. are releasing two records in May: our own and an EP collaboration with the Good Intentions which turned out quite well. We plan on touring UK/Ireland this summer.

It's a bit of short notice (our agent Bob Butler of Grapevine has sadly passed away), but if you have a slot for us we'd love to play one of your concerts. Our tour window is July through mid-August, though we could head over earlier if that's when most of the shows are happening.

Rob Ellen will give us a hearty recommendation! We've done 3 or 4 tours of UK/Ireland, have been in the Euro Americana chart top ten 3 times, and have Geraint of G Promo PR on board. He got us great press and BBC appearances last time and will be invaluable in promoting live shows. My email is below, can send you our bio and sneak preview of our forthcoming CDs.

Here is a listening link to all seven of our previous releases and live shows: https://iseehawksinla.bandcamp.com/

Thanks!

Hi

Lizanne Knott, singer/songwriter is touring here in Oct 2014 (3rd tour).

Philadelphia-based songwriter and singer, Lizanne Knott (see http://www.lizanneknott.com/) has joined forces with LA-based songwriter and singer Bill Reveles (see attached and http://www.reverbnation.com/billreveles).

The duo will tour under the name "Hey Harley" (taken from one of Bill's songs) and will be billed as "Hey Harley (feat: Lizanne Knott and Bill Reveles)".

BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris is a major fan and plays Lizanne's music frequently.

Could you offer the duo a gig on Thu 16 or Fri 17 October?

FEE
The duo's fee should ideally(!) be in the range £400-£500 vs door split plus x2 B&B accoms and PA. As ever this is negotiable, of course, since we need the gigs.
It's a big journey to come over from Philapdelphia & LA to just sit idly around!

PROMO
Lizanne's DropBox folder contains a lot promo materials - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c0cxq6zhtft27ci/H6rMRYOuyv

"Bonnie Bishop is so talented, and very special. She’s an amazing presence. I think she’s going to be a big star." (Bonnie Raitt)

Named by Acoustic Root Magazine at one of the top 30 female Americana vocalists of 2013.

Bonnie Bishop will be in Scotland during the first two weeks in August and hopes to play house concerts and other gigs.  She is an American artist, well known for her songwriting for Bonnie Raitt (who recently toured the UK).  Bishop was the co-author of the Raitt song "Not Cause I Wanted To" which is on her Grammy winning album.

Interested in hosting her for a house concert during that time? Hoping for a house gig in Inverness - she could then take a bus over to Skye if interested. Thanks.

Hi again Elly,

hmm, I can't see where/how to send you an email directly on here! Well, feel free to email me at vanderzon@yahoo.com

We plan to be in Scotland from Wed May 2nd to May 9th or 10th. How long (approximately) would you say it takes to travel from Glasgow (or Edinburgh) to the Isle of Skye? Do you ever do gigs on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays (May 6, 7, 8th) - if so, we could stay a little longer to explore the island! We're a husband/wife team (like yourselves) + our upright bass player, Shelley. We'll be looking for accommodations too.

Really looking forward to making this happen!

Marian

Hi Elly,

This sounds great! Fun to hear that your uncle lived on Vancouver Island for a while... tis a beautiful place to live (much like your island is)!

I'm going to email you directly about our plans and dates in terms of logistics.. it's probably better to move to email.

We look forward to visiting the Isle of Skye! And btw, your food looks fabulous!

All the best, Marian
