„Lyrics like a punch in the gut, painfully reminding you of your own wounds“. (Christian Elsrodt / Folker! Magazine)

Kent Nielsen is Danish but living in Lübeck (North Germany). He’s got a history as an author, percussionist, shoe shop clerk, record label guy, mail order honcho, night porter and ukulele player a. o.
But there’s one thing he’s been doing for ages – and that’s singing.
He just completed an old project – his first „solo album“. Roughly half of the roots rock colored Songs were written together with Stefan Kletetzka (DEEP RIVER), some are brand new while a couple Dates back to Kent and Stefan’s time in ONE BAR TOWN. Four covers were added, one by JOHN HARTFORD and another three originally written by GLEN CAMPBELL, EDDIE & THE HOT RODS and C.V. JØRGENSEN featuring Kent solo on the ukulele. Three more songs, drenched in Mod and 60s sounds, were written together with Helge Reich (JAM TODAY). The album also includes guest appearances from George Whitfield (FIDDLEBOX, ex-PRESSGANG) and Martin Wenk (CALEXICO, NADA SURF, JUDITH HOLOFERNES).

Dear Evert:

I See Hawks In L.A. are releasing two records in May: our own and an EP collaboration with the Good Intentions which turned out quite well. We plan on touring UK/Ireland this summer.

I know it's a bit of short notice for you (our agent Bob Butler of Grapevine agency has sadly passed away), but if you have a slot for us we'd love to play one of your concerts. Our tour window is mid-July through mid-August, though we could head over earlier if that's when most of the shows are happening.

We've done 3 or 4 tours of UK/Ireland, have been in the Euro Americana chart top ten 3 times, and have great representation for press/radio in Geraint of G Promo PR. He got us great press and BBC appearances last time and will be invaluable in promoting live shows. I'll be happy to send you our bio with listening links, and sneak preview of our forthcoming CDs. thanks, hope you are great, Paul lacques@sonic.net www.iseehawks.com

Hello Evert!

I'm Joanna Weston, an English singer-songwriter originally from London (before heading to The Netherlands, which is where I'm now based.

I would love the chance to come back to the UK in 2016 and play some intimate house concerts and wonder if you are still hosting?

In 2014 I released my debut studio album ‘INSIDE OUT’ which is a collection of 'feel good' songs you’ll want to hear time and time again:

https://joannaweston.bandcamp.com/album/inside-out

.. and here is a video link to 'Amy' taken from my earlier EP 'Pieces of the Puzzle', which tells the story of life long friendship: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OInbbsv9CY

Enjoy listening and I look forward to hearing from you about all the possibilities - and if you need any more information, just let me know!

Best wishes,

Joanna

Hi there,

my name is Sally Grayson, I’m a musician with my music Black Swift (www.blackswiftmusic.com). A broad description of my music would be post-punkified americana’n roll.
I’m heading to London and looking (very last minute, I know) for some living room shows.  The dates I’m looking for are May 15- 17th.  I’ve played many house shows over the last years, and I love the possibility to meet new people and play these intimate shows.  Would you be interested in hosting me to play at your place? Would be great!  The music on my website is with my band, but I’m touring solo and you can imagine how that sounds here:
I’d be so thankful if something worked out!
Thanks for listening,
Sally
