The European House Concert Hub

The place for concert hosts, guests and artists to network

Listen again to the great Ralph McLean chatting to Hub founder Rob Ellen on BBC Radio Ulster about his quest to encourage concerts in peoples own homes, when the Medicine Show toured Ireland this year with Chuck Hawthorne and Libby Koch (featuring interview and session with them too) 35 minutes into the show.(click picture)

About Me
Farrago is a travelling musical duo, on the run from home, if they could even remember where it was. They write songs of adventure, sometimes noble but more often misguided; of loves sought and lost; and of the only thing which seems certain - the unexpected. Their unique folk-blues combination of acoustic guitar, haunting melodica and Ian's beautiful vocals (likened to Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley) throw their audiences from heartbreak to euphoria. Captivating audiences with their live performances wherever they go, I defy anyone who sees them not to feel the bewitching urge to renounce their jobs and their settled existences and follow them on the road!

Praise for Farrago:

'Ian works the crowd with the expertise of a magician. A consummate and accomplished performer ... [he] evokes the wanderlust of the troubadour. Ian's range of emotional grasp is as profound as his stylistic breadth of guitar work. He delivers with banter and humour, but can also conjure mournful pathos and subtlety.' Pirate FM, London

' Fabulous sound, great lyrics - this innovative band has it all. Indie Showcase audiences love Farrago!' Shashona, DJ on IndieShowcase.net

'Really good songs, well played and arranged ... and entertaining to boot!' Al Park, Al's Bar, Christchurch, NZ

Hi guys and thanks for the songs, I've just been playing them in the pub and they are going down well.

I'd love to see you playing here so let me know what you need and how the tour is shaping and we can get on it.

I need to do a lot to the profile on here and keep puting it off... perhaps this is the kick I need ;-)

Hope you are well and loving it, it sounds like it.

John

Looking for house concerts for piano trio January 4-8.

I'll be traveling in Northern Europe with my traditional jazz and American roots music piano trio in early January. We're trying to fill some dates between January 4-8, wondering if anyone here would be interested in having us perform at their house concert series. Below is a link to a video where you can see what we do. you can email me directly at jaredengel<at>gmail<dot>com.  Cheers!…See More
