Lachlan Bryan is a multi award –winning singer and songwriter from Melbourne.
Lachlan’s heart is steeped in the drama and imagery of country and roots music. A songwriter with true authenticity, Lachlan’s songs are filled with characters, back stories and sub plots, flavoured with dustbowl balladry, old school country and nu-folk undertones. Over the past five years Lachlan has built a genre-defying catalogue beginning with 2009’s Ballad of a Young Married Man.
Most recent release, Black Coffee, was awarded the Golden Guitar for Best Alternative Country Album at the 2014 Country Music Awards of Australia as well as Best Country Album at the Music Victoria Awards and Best Group at the Australian Independent Music Awards. Lachlan spent most of the year on the road, including a whirlwind 23 date tour of the USA.
In a live setting, Lachlan is a true entertainer, whether playing solo or with his band The Wildes. He has earned a reputation as a true story teller, giving heartfelt, moving performances all over the world.
Lachlan is touring Australia, the USA, the UK and Europe in 2015, as well as releasing his new album.
