Eric Taylor at Cromarty Old Brewery

October 8, 2011 from 8:30pm to 11pm
He's back!  Probably the most talked about artist to ever play the Old Brewery - Eric Taylor makes a very welcome return on 8th October.Eric Taylor is a sage musician, a lyrical genius and a master of the guitar. If you're familiar with the Texas singer/songwriter scene, you probably already know a lot about him, as a contemporary of Townes Van Zandt and others.  If you're not familiar with Eric by name, you've probably heard his songs performed by the likes of his ex-partner Nanci Griffith and…See More

Angie Palmer at Cromarty Old Brewery

March 5, 2011 from 8:30pm to 11pm
From Mojo to Maverick, Angie's albums have received 4/5 star reviews, her lyrics being described as “intelligent” and “literate”. Her unique sound is a potent mix of country, blues, and folk served up with equal measures of aggression and tenderness, immaculate lyrics forged from a true storyteller's art and all delivered with "a delicious hair-in-the-voice approach that gives her a tough edge over more fey contemporaries" (Uncut).GigSee More

Cam Penner @ Cromarty Old Brewery at Cromarty Old Brewery

May 28, 2010 from 8:30pm to 11pm
Singing uncompromising songs about redemption and truth, Cam Penner has a voice for the disenfranchised. His music is rootsy and soulful, and he sings and writes with a conviction, passion and beauty that is missing from much of today's music. The music is Americana but it has the depth and soul to appeal far beyond simple boundaries. Penner really has created something quite beautiful.

Lorelei Loveridge at Cromarty Old Brewery

May 8, 2010 from 8:30pm to 11pm
Canadian Lorelei Loveridge is a songwriter, performer, writer, and jill-of-all-trades. She draws comparisons with Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell, and pairs a passionate political sense with an understanding of the complex personal stories that go beyond politics. Her personal and musical journey is documented in her CD, Bakhoor. The sounds of tabla, oud, darbuka, Tibetan overtone chants, violin, bazouki, Latin/African/slide guitar combine for a richly-textured, multicultural tour-de-force

Tony Cox at Cromarty Old Brewery 15 January

On Friday 15th January, the Cromarty Old Brewery welcomes Tony Cox, a multiple award-winning acoustic

guitarist from Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Tony has become a veritable icon of the guitar in southern Africa. He charges his music with African imagery, using all the finger-style techniques he had absorbed over the years from such as Leo Kottke, Sipho Mchunu and Noise Khanyile. And on-stage, he is warm and engaging with the… Continue

Hi,

Hope you’re having a great day. Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you a little about Roosevelt Bandwagon:

Roosevelt Bandwagon's personnel currently reside in London, UK. The band comprises a fluid line-up of extremely experienced musicians who have been writing, recording and touring internationally in various guises for many years. The ethos is to play the music that comes most naturally to its members with absolutely no consideration whatsoever for the trends, fashions and formulae of the commercial music industry.

Having played house concerts many times in the States in years gone by we love the idea of the House Concert Hub – it is certainly more focused than other social networking sites and far more friendly!!!

We’re currently doing sessions for a full length album which should be ready by May of this year. In the mean time, we have put out the ‘Train Roll On’ EP. We have a limited edition of free pressings which we’re mailing out to those people who request it – hurry and drop us a line before we run out! Tracks can also be heard on our home page/ visit us on myspace: www.myspace.com/rooseveltbandwagon where you can download the tracks for free.

Do please drop us a line – we’d love to hear your thoughts on our music/ have you as a friend.

Best wishes & have a great weekend.
