About Me
We run Journey's End, Alford based here in Central Aberdeenshire, Scotland. we've just started doing monthly gigs in our spare room which we've made into an all round arts venue. Maximum we can seat are 20 guests and we try and guarantee artists £100 or share thereof with our guests suggested donation minimum of £5. We had our first gig last week with a 17 yr old lad called Ross Farren and 16 people showed up (that's 75% capacity!!). Looking for any kind of artist really from Blues to classical, story tellers and Poets etc even artists who draw or paint etc to exhibit however we're hoping they'd have been on the circuit a while. Must be acoustic and reckon 3 would be the biggest band size we could accommodate although in the summer we could go "live on the lawn" with possibly bigger. Check out our FaceBook group Journey's End, Alford for some pics and stories and photo albums.

I know it's a bit of short notice for you (our agent Bob Butler of Grapevine agency has sadly passed away), but if you have a slot for us we'd love to play one of your concerts. Our tour window is mid-July through mid-August, though we could head over earlier if that's when most of the shows are happening.

Rob Ellen will give us a hearty recommendation! We've done 3 or 4 tours of UK/Ireland, have been in the Euro Americana chart top ten 3 times, and have great representation for press/radio in Geraint of G Promo PR. He got us great press and BBC appearances last time and will be invaluable in promoting live shows. I'll be happy to send you our bio with listening links, and sneak preview of our forthcoming CDs. Thanks, hope you are great,

Paul

Hi Mark,

As the duo Dapper’s Delight, we play mainly British popular music – tunes and songs from the 16th-19th centuries. We particularly like to explore and arrange pieces found in traditional sources, but that also have roots in the classical or early music repertoire.
We’ve recently released our second CD “Disguisings” and just had a great review in the latest edition of the EFDSS magazine "English Dance and Song".
I’ll put a few links to our videos below and if you like what we do, please let me know and I’ll send you our CD. We're arranging a tour of the UK in October and are looking for house concerts in Scotland between the 10th and 17th.

Our very best wishes from Amsterdam,
Susanna Borsch

Hi Mark,

Celebrated ‘Top 10’ Canadian Roots, Alt-Country, Folk-Blues singer songwriter Kenny Butterill is coming to Scotland. My name is Christine Crandell and I'm working with Kenny to book his tour calendar for house concerts during July 27th through and August 15th in Scotland and you were highly recommended by Rob Ellen from the Medicine Show and Euro House Concert Hub as the perfect fit for Kenny’s music.

All house concerts will be heavily promoted at Kenny Butterill’s website, his Facebook and Twitter accounts all of which have more Scottish and UK followers than either Canada or the USA. A new single will be released to Europe prior to this tour and we will also do a full UK promo campaign with Rob Ellen (Medicine Music Show) that will include Kenny visiting DJ's and radio stations in your town for in-studio sessions and live promo for your house concert.

Throughout Europe, Kenny’s most recent single 'Dead End Of The Dirt Road' (from the new album “Troubadour Tales”) started out the year at the top of the Hotdisc Top 40 and stayed there for several weeks and continues to be a DJ favorite.

“If you like Gordon Lightfoot, J.J. Cale or John Prine, you’ll love Kenny”. His live show has a warm ambience of an intimate setting with an up-close, personal vibe with his three piece band including Kenny on guitar, his rack harp/mando player and his guitar sideman.

For complete info, live video, reviews, etc. please visit the Kenny Butterill online press kit: EPK  http://www.kennybutterill.com/epk/

We hope this strikes a responsive chord with you!

Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you are interested in booking Kenny Butterill. Thank you very much!

A New Jess Wayne Review - Somehow Overlooked from 3 Years Ago

Just found this from the "Miews". I think it says some interesting things, particularly about ageism in music and the treatment of older singer songwriters.
