Singer-Songwriter Paul Thompson UK Tour 2015...by Milk Float!
Follow singer-songwriter Paul Thompson on an epic journey touring the UK in Summer 2015...by milk float! Playing House Concerts, festivals, arts centres, clubs and village greens, Paul will be travelling across England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, doing 30 miles per day over 12 long weeks...
‘So why a milk float?’ you may ask!
Paul’s last tour took him around Alaska and Canada, and since then he’s been writing and recording the songs for his latest CD ‘Lost in the Land of Midnight Sun’. He wanted to do something unusual to celebrate its completion, but this time a bit closer to home (it’s a heck of a long way from Norfolk to Alaska!).
Milk floats have the added advantage of being able to do a maximum speed of about 15 mph, allowing Paul time to travel at his own leisurely pace whilst enjoying the delights of this beautiful island, gathering songs and stories along the way...
Described as ‘blissed out Donovan meets John Martyn’, Paul uses a loop box to layer guitar, vocals and rhythm, and will be performing the songs from his new album, as well as from his previous two CDs.
Paul is also offering a song-writing workshop (with the chance for performers to showcase in the evening), and fans can get involved in a number of other ways, including joining the tour for a day or having a romantic candle-lit meal cooked by Paul with live music played as they eat. Check out Paul’s Pledges Page for further details,
Coming as a self-contained musical one man band, you can set Paul up indoors or outdoors (he can perform off-grid in the specially adapted milk float), in fact he can play just about anywhere as long as his milk float can get there too!
Why not throw a street or garden party...have music in the woods, or a fiesta in the fields!
