About Me
Robin Adams is a solo performer from Glasgow, Scotland. He kicked off his career in 2009 with the release of his debut album 'Down To Reverie' shortly after winning The Billy Kelly Songwriting Award. In 2011 Adams released his second album 'Be Gone' which received nation wide critical acclaim - Q Magazine **** "Strummed ruminations worthy of John Martyn" - The Skinny **** "Subtly stunning"- Is This Music ***** "Sublime!". In 2012 Adams fell ill and found himself unable to perform live for a period of four years. Never the less, he remained prolific and active in the studio recording many albums including 2013's understated and hauntingly beautiful 'Wilt', an album which reflected his ill health at the time. The album was heralded "The work of a true artist". In 2014 he was awarded the Emerging Excellence Award by Help Musicians UK. He followed 'Wilt' with 2015's 'The Garden', which saw him compared by numerous music publications to past masters such as Nick Drake and Bert Jansch for it's complex guitar arrangements and stunning songwriting. In 2016 he curated and collaborated on a project called 'REFUGEE', which focussed on raising money for the ongoing Migrant crises. The project included original compositions from Bonnie Prince Billy, Alasdair Roberts, Richard Dawson and Linda Thompson. 'Refugee' marked the end of a long period of ill health and personal turmoil and Robin has since made enough of a recovery to return to the live circuit with plans of a new release in 2017 and many shows around the UK.

I have a few really nice wee spots so far on the tour including Thursday the 13th of July in Aviemore at the Old Bridge Inn and Saturday 15th at the Horseshoe Cottage in Oldshoremore. I'm now working hard to try and find some more…
