From North Carolina, Sally Spring along with her husband, the eclectic, edgy, rhythmic Ted Lyons Lyons (Alex Chilton, Percy Sledge, John Lee Hooker), on acoustic resonator guitar resonator (his playing sounds like a mix of Ry Cooder and James Blood Ulmer) perform roots music that combines pop, folk, Memphis, and southern Appalachia styles that will stir your soul. They recently received international acclaim with their latest CD, "Made Of Stars", that charted #1 in Europe (Euro-Americana chart) and #2 worldwide on Americana radio.

Performances during past few years have ranged from Kerrville's Music and Wine Festival with more than 10,000 participants to No Depression's 10th Anniversary to the intimate setting of America's oldest folk club, Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs.

Born in California and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Sally literally started singing even before she could speak. The daughter of an inventor/computer trailblazer whose classmates were Hewlett and Packard, Spring grew up thinking outside the box. At 11 years old, she bought her first guitar, figured out open tunings on her own (before there were any books on this) and accompanied herself on a local television appearance a mere six weeks after she started playing. She performed in college coffee houses soon after, clubs a few years later, dropping in and out of school to travel and perform.

She traveled the country on a shoestring making friends and sharing, performing and often recording her southern Americana folk rock music with musicians like Doc Watson, Mama Cass, Rev. Gary Davis, Taj Mahal, Nancy Nevins (Sweet Water), Odetta, Gurf Morlix, Tift Merritt, Caitlin Cary (Whiskeytown), Sylvia Tyson, Peter Stampfel, John McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), Marshall Crenshaw, Eric Weissberg and Gene Parsons from The Byrds, among many others.
