About Me
A small committee hosts six non-profit concerts a year in our home, a converted 18th century barn near Stratford-upon-Avon. A typical concert attracts 50 people. The ticket price pays for a vegetarian meal and the artists' fees; concert-goers bring their own drinks and glasses. We aim for a mix of genres and have hosted classical, folk, jazz, blues, and music that fits no categories. Rapport with the audience is an essential requirement: it's not just about the music.

Hello, Simon!

Your place sounds amazing. While I am booking for a small window right now, I would love the chance to stay in touch even if these dates don't work as I would love to play at your space and think we might be a great fit!

I am a songwriter from the States coming over to play for the first time behind the release of my new EP and album. I'm currently booking in Europe for Jan 12-29. Though I have toured extensively in the States, it's my first time across the pond, and I would be so happy just to play and make some new connections with fellow folksingers and listeners! I would especially love to open for another artist who is local to your location, if that is possible.

My blog post on European House Concert Network is linked below, and that has links to my music. (My website is below, too.)

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration and I hope to hear from you! Happy holidays,

Hi Simon :)  Wondering if you’ve filled up your six nonprofit concerts for this year?  I’m headed over from Nashville TN this summer to bring some soul music to the good people of England and would love to perform in your space!
Check out my info below and shoot me an email to heidiburson@gmail.com to discuss any possibilities :)
"Her on-stage ability to control the room is evident by her captive audience. It’s one thing to be a songwriter and another to be a performer. Heidi Burson is both.  Led by Burson's commanding and soulful voice - one with a range that rivals Jill Scott and Adele...The sound is massive; a rich musicality practically oozes off the record.- Kevin Carr with Behind The Set List.

"Totally new to us, Burson’s range is something that we will be arriving early to see in person. The deep and somewhat sultry tone that she produces will surely silence most any room that she is performing in. "  No Country for New Nashville Magazine

To date, Heidi is an award winning artist and songwriter and has released 2 self-produced full length albums, Every Shade of Blue in 2012 and a brand new record, The Story this year 2017. Her music is spinning on AcmeRadioLive and Lightning 100 in Nashville and her single, "Give Your Love Away" has been played on BBC Radio. She has toured across the US, UK and Europe and was featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Her touring has seen her perform in various festivals, concert series and notable venues such as the 100 Club in London, BB King's and Ruine Senftenburg Castle in Austria.

Cheers!

We'll be in your area in August - would you have availability August 18-26th?

Cheers,

Hi Simon

Hope all is well with you.

I came across your profile as I am fairly new to the house concert scene and wanted to start off with some local shows to get a feel for it.

I also contacted John Wade who I think might be in the same group as you?

I am currently finishing off recording my first studio album and am looking to start booking shows to support the launch and promotion.

I have played several gigs and a few house concerts in the Stratford area and have busked there many times.

I have a wide and eclectic style of originals and covers and love to interact with the audience.

If you're interested in experiencing my show then I'd love to hear from you.

Many thanks

I know it's a bit of short notice for you (our agent Bob Butler of Grapevine agency has sadly passed away), but if you have a slot for us we'd love to play one of your concerts. Our tour window is mid-July through mid-August, though we could head over earlier if that's when most of the shows are happening.

We've done 3 or 4 tours of UK/Ireland, have been in the Euro Americana chart top ten 3 times, and have great representation for press/radio in Geraint of G Promo PR. He got us great press and BBC appearances last time and will be invaluable in promoting live shows. I'll be happy to send you our bio with listening links, and sneak preview of our forthcoming CDs. thanks, hope you are great, Paul lacques@sonic.net www.iseehawks.com
