About Me
NOW....

STEViE's music is gutsy, edgy and raw - a hardcore, barstool troubadour - with a voice as raw as cigarettes and single malt in a backstreet bar late on a Saturday night.

For the last eight years STEViE has been playing regularly at many motorcycle rallies and festivals and venues all over the UK receiving some great reviews and picking up new fans at every gig.

He has supported Status Quo at the Bulldog Bash, played a couple of times at Bev & Chris Jackson's Americana festival and been a regular on the bill at the OGRI Rally and the MAG Farmyard Party. STEViE has also played at the Quay Vipers MCC's Snakebite Rally in Limavardy in Ireland, the Saints & Sinners Rally in Scotland, Westport's Folk & Bluegrass Festival in Ireland, the Akaciju aleja bard festival near Kaunas in Lithuania and a series of house concerts in Wales raising money for the fighting fund for Welsh Motorcycle Shows Ltd after both The Welsh International Motorcycle Show in Builth Wells and The Anglesey Bike Show were closed down with police intervention at a few days notice on each occasion with no evidence to back up the reasons given by both the Dyfed/Powys an' North Wales Police.

STEViE is very proud to be a member and supporter of NABD. The last few years he has also regularly played/hosted marquees for The National Association for Bikers with Disabilities (NABD) Rally at Astle Park in Cheshire and in Oxfordshire at NABD's Autumn NABDness rally.

THEN (The history bit)

Raised on the south coast of England, Stevie played in a couple of rock bands trying (and sometimes succeeding) to write original songs. Moving to Reading he joined metal band IronHeart and it was around this time he discovered, through local rock show presenter Brian Pithers (R.I.P - Rock In Perpetuity mate), the music of Steve Earle.

After IronHeart he toured in the UK and France with hard rock band The Pack.

Taking a break from music when The Pack split, Stevie eventually joined country band Kane & Co. remaining with them for four years, touring throughout the UK, Germany and Poland, playing on major country festivals in the UK, Spain, France, Poland, Denmark, and Holland, and releasing an album along the way, recorded in Nashville, called ' Raising Kane' . On leaving Kane & Co. he formed Cactus Jack and toured with them extensively throughout Germany for two years whilst releasing two albums, including the highly acclaimed '...ain't nothin' like PRESSURE' of which he wrote a majority of the material.

Touring with Kane & Co. and Cactus Jack had meant missing many bike rallies and wishing to work solo with the mandolin (with the addition sometimes of harmonica) Stevie started gigging out on his own whilst still with Cactus Jack, opening out his repetoire playing the songs of Steve Earle, Townes Van Zant, Richard Thompson, Fairport Convention, Jimmy LaFave, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Alice Cooper !! and a good few more. Some of those covers still get played in more intimate situations and round campfires. Stevie has three solo albums already available and is just about to go back into the studio to record his next album 'Garage Songs' some of which can be seen on his MySpace in the form of 'Garage Videos'.

Go have a listen on the MySpace site and make up your mind from there.

Hi,

Hope you’re having a great day. Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you a little about Roosevelt Bandwagon:

Roosevelt Bandwagon's personnel currently reside in London, UK. The band comprises a fluid line-up of extremely experienced musicians who have been writing, recording and touring internationally in various guises for many years. The ethos is to play the music that comes most naturally to its members with absolutely no consideration whatsoever for the trends, fashions and formulae of the commercial music industry.

Having played house concerts many times in the States in years gone by we love the idea of the House Concert Hub – it is certainly more focused than other social networking sites and far more friendly!!!

We’re currently doing sessions for a full length album which should be ready by May of this year. In the mean time, we have put out the ‘Train Roll On’ EP. We have a limited edition of free pressings which we’re mailing out to those people who request it – hurry and drop us a line before we run out! Tracks can also be heard on our home page/ visit us on myspace: www.myspace.com/rooseveltbandwagon where you can download the tracks for free.

Do please drop us a line – we’d love to hear your thoughts on our music/ have you as a friend.

Best wishes & have a great weekend.

Roosevelt Bandwagon

Swedish leftwing swing band Cats and Dinosaurs looking for gigs in northen Germany october/november!

Hello!I am booking concerts for Swedish leftwing swing band Cats and Dinosaurs Germany tour, and it would be great to add some house concerts to the tour! I have been doing a lot of house concerts with other bands and I love it, so I hope to get a chance to try it also with this band. We are a bigger band than most house concert shows, but I think it would work well. I'd love to find out what that intimate house concert setting would do for our music! This tour is the release tour of our third…See More
