The European House Concert Hub

The place for concert hosts, guests and artists to network

Listen again to the great Ralph McLean chatting to Hub founder Rob Ellen on BBC Radio Ulster about his quest to encourage concerts in peoples own homes, when the Medicine Show toured Ireland this year with Chuck Hawthorne and Libby Koch (featuring interview and session with them too) 35 minutes into the show.(click picture)

About Me
Suzanne and Jim are maintainers of Traditional Americana Roots Music tradition since 1992. They are musicians who explore new directions by looking back into the roots of Americana music and lore. The husband and wife team blend their voices and instruments in songs of an earlier time. The stories told by these old songs (and the stories behind the songs) not only relate tales of a bygone era but open a window into the origins of modern culture. The couple blend their harmonious duet vocals with skillful musicianship on acoustic instruments- 5 string banjo, guitars, flute, autoharp, courtship dulcimer (and a few surprises).

A Spanish Waltz

This is a beautiful 1860's waltz that we presented at a National Historic Christmas Gathering - enjoy!

Going strong on the road full time, Suzanne and Jim continue to delight audiences across the US and in Canada and Europe with their unique blend of traditional and historic music. The husband and wife team are troubadours in the truest sense, maintaining the Americana Roots Music tradition since 1992. The couple blend their harmonious duet vocals with skillful musicianship on acoustic instruments- 5 string banjo, guitars, flute, autoharp, courtship dulcimer (and a few surprises). From extensive research in museums, libraries and archived collections as well as conversations with traditional musicians across the country Suzanne and Jim craft a lively and engaging journey through the roots of Americana Music, bringing a new voice to the musical heritage of Traditional Americana Roots Music.
