- esperi are an acoustic folk group performing music by singer/songwriter Chris Lee-Marr (26). Chris has been writing and playing music for over ten years throughout Scotland, and his project esperi have been playing in various locations throughout the UK for nearly 3 years. Recently they have played alongside 'Gomez' ,'De rosa' ',Martin Stephenson' and at festivals such as 'T in the park', 'Go north', 'Baltic connections, 'Cupar Arts Festival' and others.
esperi are known for their soft melodies, open tunings and percussive guitar style. Chris plays most regularly with guitar and bells accompanied by his wife on the harp, however the full band line up is comprised of a talented group of musicians on a dynamic combination of instruments including guitar, bells, harp, drums, bass, cello, violin ,melodica, xylophone and keys.
Predominantly songs of life and love , Chris's lyrics are often metaphorical and transcend from a deep core of ethics, they tend to be plaintive yet optimistic. esperi currently have an ep out called 21:21 and are in the process of making their first album.
