Hello I'm jim Chorley and I'm an Acoustic/Folk Singer-Songwriter from Southampton now
living near Winchester...
With many years songwriting and performance experience I play magically melodic songs of
old Southampton, Welshman's Daughters, walks in the wild woodlands of Hampshire/
Wiltshire and Crop Circles ( my Dad Dave Chorley was one half of 'Doug and Dave' who
were responsible for creating the magical and mysterious folk art form back in the 1970s )
My songs tell stories that entertain and warm the heart.
I have played numerous House Concerts all across the UK and enjoy them immensely, the
atmosphere and intimate nature of them is wonderful for both the artist and audience.
Also I have many years experience of headlining Acoustic/Folk nights and playing festivals,
including the Cambridge Folk festival and he beautiful Larmer Tree festival in Dorset.
Here is a link the videos on my website which include House concert footage and live
I have had the pleasure of programming Jim chorley to play at several music events. He creates a captivating atmosphere full of engaging song-stories, good humour and fine musicianship. Highly recommended !

Jim gave us a wonderful performance of his self penned songs, with tales to fire our imaginations & music in which to loose ourselves. Do you know the origins of the crop circle phenomenon? Well we do now, & it's really is a song worth listening to! Come back again soon Jim.

I'm sat at my kitchen table in the Wilds of Winchester it's 5.30 am and the dawn chorus has just begun outside my window...
This time of morning is perfect for creativity, songwriting and peace. Knowing that people are tucked up in their beds dreaming dreams and all you can hear outside the occasional call of a barn owl is warming to the heart and soul.
When I first moved here from Southampton I found the silence deafening, now it is comfort and solace.
