The building was quaint, almost angelic; I guess because it was in an old Methodist Church. It was the new Texas Music Barn in Linden, Texas; where the Texas Music Awards were being held and it was a bit different from where it was held the last time we were nominated back in 2008, but it was still just as glamorous and wonderful. i sat next to a small family out to dinner the other night. there was a father, about 55 years old maybe, a daughter, 28, and a son, 25 or so...
i kept hearing pieces of conversation like this: "are we REALLY talking about this AGAIN?", and "stop. just...stop. don't talk. you need to just stop. ok? stop.", and "that is SO stupid", and "why do you ALWAYS....???", and this: "i love you, but you are an annoying pain in the ass!"
