New album & European tour

Anny is back for her fifth European tour in May 2013.  Her new album, January, once again combines Brill Building hooks with a storyteller’s eye for detail.  Ghosts who haunt the corners of New Orleans’ French Quarter, winds carrying volcano dust from Iceland, boys who yearn to join the circus and the mystifying shards of our own broken-glass hearts – all are woven together into a travelogue of risk, resilience and renewal.  This latest flight of songs will hook you from the…

Healthy Concerts

Rob invited me to create a blog post for my projects.

In the next phase I will investigate current hosting options in the Brighton area. I will be able to book artists in once the home venues are confirmed.

I intend to get involved once more with 'house concert' related activities, both as a singer-songwriter and an event organiser.

From New Zealand to Europe.

Hello everyone.

We are delighted to have found this wonderful resource that might hopefully allow us to book in some house concerts on our European travels. We are a New Zealand based dream folk duo called 'French for Rabbits'- which consists of myself (Brooke on guitar, piano and singing) and John playing guitar.

We've played all around New Zealand, released an EP, and had a couple of songs played on Amazing Radio and BBC 6 in the UK, and radio play in places…

Trade House Concerts/Gigs? Europe for U.S.A. (California)

As I am starting to talk with people about house concerts in Europe, I am thinking that it would be cool if there were something similar for people here in the United States.

At my home in Los Angeles, I have held house parties and occasionally let touring artists hold outdoor concerts here.  They have always been well attended and there were good tips and sales of merchandise.  I have a full PA here and can seat about 40 people in an outdoor patio…

Mosno Al-Moseeki July in the UK

I'm SUPER excited to be on this great networking site, as a musician I always enjoy meeting new people, both musicians and music lovers, we all just tend to "understand" each other better then the rest of the world, I love it :)

As the title suggests, I'm planning a little 10 day tour in UK this summer, in July. I've already acquired a show in Birmingham on July 6th, and I'm currently trying to work out a few more.

I have some friends in Scotland who are helping set…

A New Jess Wayne Review - Somehow Overlooked from 3 Years Ago

Just found this from the "Miews". I think it says some interesting things, particularly about ageism in music and the treatment of older singer songwriters. I think my feelings were hurt when he or she only gave a "6" on Vocals... but as I read on, not so bad in context. :) JESS WAYNE – RIDE THE RIVER (MUSIC REVIEW)RATING: 7.5 / 10Genre: Rock, Blues, AmericanaSongwriting: 8.5 | Music: 8 | Vocals: 6Location: Glendale, CAWebsite: www.jesswayne.comFor fans…See More
