Myke (Masher) Barritt - Our Thanks

By now most of you will have learnt that my best friend and music partner Myke (Masher) Barritt has decided to move on and play in that bigger Jam session to which we'll be called one day.

The news came to me very early on Sunday morning, he was supposed, as far as I knew, to be enjoying a weekend in Hereford, but in the event simply did not wake up.

To the numerous questions being asked, no, at the moment we do have a clue as to what caused this sudden death, the Post… Continue

It's Wednesday!

I'm up late or up early, not quite sure which!

Last Tuesday, playing before Beth Wimmer in Ullapool, awesome - her songs are fantastic - Hey Buddy, That's a big ten-four has to be one of the finest first lines to any song! To have the finest bass player on this side of the Kessock bridge was quite an honour!

Supporting Jim Bob Morrison from Carter USM in Dundee on Saturday was equally as fantastic, inspiring is another word I'll use here. One of the most memorable gigs… Continue

Flying Shoes UK Review

Gordie Tentrees http://www.tentrees.ca takes the plaudits for this music and more and more of them by the day it seems, however his unique fusion of acoustic, electric, roots "n" rhythm is in equal measure due to his long time cohorts Matt King on Bass and Ken Hermanson on Guitars (sliding and otherwise). This is a band born out of a shared vision and hard work. Former School pals now band mates they hail from the Yukon in the frozen north of Canada, a fact… Continue
