House concerts really appeal as you're playing to real music enthusiasts, put on by people who do it for the sheer love of that's something to be admired for sure. Drop by and say hey..good to meet you… Continue

This weeks Mashers News Blog is live and you cn find it HERE

And great news from The Myke Barritt Music Trust. Phoebe has started the job of selling off some of Myke's train collection and has raised in one weekend the fantastic sum of £600 - apparently around £550 of that came from the sell of one particular train set.

That takes the overall Trust fund up to over a… Continue

Booking Dates in Europe/UK for March 2011

As you may have heard, our last Tangle-Free Tour of Europe ended up being a little - well, tangled. We landed at Heathrow Airport on April 15th, the day of the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano eruption, and spent the next several days knocking around London, trying to find a way to reach our gigs on the continent. looking forward now to the future - there's also a big vote of thanks to

all of you who came along to what I think of as Myke's Final Gig, and

links for those who couldn't be with us to video of the Ceremony and

clips from the Wake.…

Tam White Stonemason's Blues

It was with great sadness that i learned of the loss this week of Scottish Bluesman Tam White.

He was a familiar face on the Scottish music scene and i had the pleasure in opening for him a few times. I first discovered his music at his gig on my 18th birtday in The Old Athenaeum in Glasgow. We had been given complimentary tickets as he worked as a stonemason for the same company as my mum. (i should add that whilst my mum is a Glaswegian she was not a stonemason - she did the… Continue
