On 11th November, Camden Council voted to make it illegal to make music in street, park or public space without first applying for a license, paying an admin fee (of £19 or £47) and waiting to hear whether they consider you are fit to do so, which may take up to 20 days. This extends to unaccompanied singing and impromptu small-scale performances whether for monetary gain or not. Maximum penalties for non-compliance are fines of £1,000 and seizure of instruments.

Hello, Im booked to play Celtic Connections on the 23rd of Jan at the Oran Mor alongside the wonderful Dick Gaughan and others.
