It's official !!! I'm on way over mid July thru who knows how much off August? It's my first tour overseas and to say I'm excited about it would be an obvious understatement. I've just posted some of the dates with more to follow and would like to thank everyone who has helped get this tour started. I've had the good fortune of having the help and support of Mr Rob Ellen whom we all know. It has been thru him that I have been introduced to a huge group of new friends. Fellow… Continue

Am not quite sure how to work this site yet so please excuse the fumbling around....
We happened upon The House Concert European Hub earlier this week as a result of looking for possible venues to play during our visit to mainland Europe in late May / early June. It looks like a great initiative!
We're from Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK. Stroud has become a location synonymous with music and the arts generally and is a place… Continue

Here's some of my Open Guitar Tunings:
D A D G B E
drop the bass E down to D.
D A D G A D
drop the second and first string a whole tone each.
D A D F A D
the G is now dropped to an F,
making a D major triad in the fourth, third and second strings.
D G D G B D
think that the "bottom" of the tuning is the fifth string,
and the low D is "extra".
all of the cords you play in open D are… Continue

I snapped this shot of the audience just moments before taking the stage in Leeds.
This is part 1 of the many disorganized posts that I'll be throwing together in the next few days. I'll be chronicling my month long tour with everyone's best friend, Billy Bragg.
The tour started out with United Airlines losing my luggage (it ended the same way). This is but one of many times that they've lost my luggage over the years. This made it… Continue

Remo Ricaldone's review for www.planetcountry.it!
Robert Coleman Trussell is a Texas singer originally from Kingsville, but currently residing in Kansas City. His debut 2005 “Texas Gothic” CD was a successful Roots and Americana work both in Europe and the States. The acoustic/country “Juice and Jive” has now arrived to continue this folk and blues conversation. Great singing and lyrics stand out in this CD; it's spartan, yet intriguing… Continue

It is with great pride I have been blessed to be able to continue to sing my blue's at this young age, LOL. It is my honest desire to be able to take these blues all over the world. I have the old school blues which are the daddy of all blues. I know every musician is aware of the fact that the old school blue's musician's are going on to glory or on their way, I for one, as long as the Creator allow me intend to present my blues to audiences all over the world, so far this has not beeen… Continue

When I was a kid in the 70s, the first albums I ever bought were second hand copies of early Beatles albums. They used to have sleeve notes that told you a little bit about how the track was put together, who was singing/playing what, etc. Since, along with George Martin, they were pretty much inventing multi-track recording as they went along, they'd mention if John or Paul were double-tracked, or singing their own harmonies too. I thought it was really good, and handy if you wanted to know… Continue
