So the adventure continues, as a direct result of talking at WOMEX in October Ive been invited to Folk Alliance in Toronto the weekend after next.
Thanks to a grant from Creative Scotland (Cant take the camper to Canada) that will pay my flights and Steve Squarewheels Macdonald who has a credit card that works, I am going to Folk Alliance 2013 in Toronto.
Ive been invited on a panel to talk about Euro House Concerts. If you feel like helping me find a bed for the night as well (I'm told sleeping in the park this time of year in Toronto isn't much fun) and you live in Toronto, I'll put some beer in the fridge and bring a nice bottle of Malt.
Otherwise you can donate to the cause at on the FSR Donations Button (ever penny helps keep the wheels on the medicine show and the spokes on the hubm and will pay some expences I just don't have)
Looking forward to seeing some friends old an new including Nels Andrews, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, Sid Grffin and The Coal Porters Eliza Gilkyson, Robby Hecht, Steve James, Nuala Kennedy, Korby Lenker, Cara Luft, Charlie Parr, Rod Picott, Aj Roach, Linda McRae, Amy F Speace, Jesse Lafser, and the great Jon Byrd and the proverbial many many more.
My panel is Thursday at at 12.30 if your going hope you can make that. I'll have my Zoom Recorder with me so will be collecting sessions and crack for the Radio Show as we go, so please do get in touch if your going lets hook up.
