Is there anything we can do with you or for you along the way? Radio sessions, interview gigs, House Concerts, supports I'll come and broadcast and stream your concert anything. Let me know we would love to come visit, we are self contained in a camper van in convoy with Lady Miss Emma in her Caravan of Love with PA and broadcast equipment.
Medicine Shows traveled the old west until very recently, selling snake oil remedies, offering entertainment and giving artists a helping hand along the way. Hank Williams and Roy Acuff cut their musical teeth on Medicine Shows, Hank met his muse and future wife Audrey on a travelling Medicine Show. They were later to marry on the road in an Alabama gas station. The rest is well documented in every Hank Williams song and country music history book.
I do what he can to support independently minded roots musicians and venues. I founded the European House Concert Hub www.houseconcert.eu for that purpose and am asking our members here to get involved in this adventure. I am in the process of converting my camper into TV studio and setting up Independence Music TV www.gofundme.com/imusictv hence the travelling to raise funds, awareness & win friends for the idea, would you help please.
A bit about Mr Moon
Mr Moon (and the Beautiful Dream) is a gypsy traveller musician, street entertainer and vagabond, he is home free and has always earned his crust ACROSS THE WORLD by means of his travellings and prodigious talent . The Moose is The Medicine Show Radio mobile home, come TV/radio studio, equipped to stream the music and crack live from the road.
Mr Moon plays Old Time mountain music, songs of the travellers and Mr Moon originals on his antique fiddle earned by soul, and latterly floated on a bed of worldy rhythmic guitar loop textures. He is as happy playing street corners as Festivals or House Concerts as Arts Centres.
Mr Moon is a legend among the street entertainers and itinerant musicians from Picton New Zealand to St Ives Cornwall, he travelled to India to learn the sitar and invented a guitar tuning so he could replicate the music on his guitar, he lived and soaked up the music and culture of Thailand, travelled to The Gambia and recorded with the Griots, all the time absorbing that music into his music.
He's spent the summer once more in Cornwall, where he has become part of the fabric of the music scene over the years, with a new album guided by savant musician producer Jack Sadler capturing him in a particularly productive frame of mind. The album (proclaimed as his master piece by Ian Semple of Penwith Radio) is ready to take to the world, so I intend to help him do just that.
