Happy Hosting, Happy New Year - Rob Ellen

Hey folks, I know it's a long way from the UK but I just have to tell you about this show! If you just happen to find yourself in Nashville, TN this Christmas come on down to The World Famous Bluebird Cafe, Nashville's premier songwriter venue.

I'll be performing alongside some of Nashville's most adventurous and fabulous writers. Come out and join us for some Post-Christmas cheer, Dec. 26th (boxing day for those of us who know what that is!) 6:30 - 8:30, The Blubird Cafe, Nashville, TN

Lisa Aschmann
Lisa is a professional songwriter, a singer, and an educator. She has an emotional style that's pure, simple and sincere and has appeared in a variety of prestigious venues, including The San Francisco Free Folk Festival, Western Workers Labor Heritage Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, the Frank Brown Songwriter's Festival and the International Womens' Music Festival in Beer Sheva, Israel. She has had hundreds of songs recorded by both major label and independent artists in a wide variety of styles.

Mark Elliott
Mark is a highly respected singer-songwriter with twenty-five years performing,
writing and recording experience. After several years under the wing of the legendary Tom Paxton, Mark moved to Nashville and signed as a staff writer to the Paxton co-venture with Cherry Lane Music Publishing.

Mark has also held staff writing positions with Bluewater Music Group, Alabama's Maypop Music Group and Sony Music Publishing. Mark's songs have been recorded by many artists, receiving airplay on radio and TV both in the US and abroad. His songs have hit the Billboard Top Forty charts, highlighted by the hit single by Neal McCoy, "Every Man for Himself." Billboard Magazine called it "a song with rare lyrical and musical edge and the best cut on the album".

Winning the Kerrville New Folk Award in 1993 really put Mark on the map and on the road and he has just released his 7th. CD "Good Life". It includes the song "Wake-Up," written for the Obama campaign and used in rallies and fundraisers in the last months of the campaign.

Linda McRae - From Dear John to John Deere
Linda is a charming and critically acclaimed Canadian Platinum recording artist. Her evocative and powerful voice is well supported by her finger-style guitar, clawhammer banjo, accordion, dulcimer and Porchboard bass.

"When all the trends fade and become dated, and all the music from the cutting edge becomes dull, Linda McRae will continue to stand tall, singing and playing music with honest soul and humility, cutting through the fog with her timeless clarity. Linda is one of the true, soulful pioneers of honest roots music. Her singing and playing brings honour to her heroes and to her friends and fans." Colin Linden, Producer, Guitarist, Songwriter, Bruce Cockburn, Emmy Lou Harris

Andy Miller and Doc West - Guitar Duets To Die For
West and Miller met back in 2000 while playing in a Nashville chart band. West settled here from San Francisco and Miller from New York City. Together they combine two highly unique guitar styles to deliver their surprising and rewarding departure from traditional blues and folk music. Miller's firm grasp of traditional blues and folk blends with West's cosmopolitan "post everything" style to create their truly unique original music.
